Margie Roop, LPCC-S, CEAP, SAP - LifeServices EAP

A Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Margie has more than 25 years of experience in mental health and chemical dependency services with the past 13 years devoted to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) work. Margie has considerable experience in conducting Critical Incident Stress Debriefings, Wellness Seminars, BWC Drug-Free Workplace Trainings, Management Consultations and Trainings, and intense, short-term, individual clinical work. Previously, Margie worked in community mental health, directing residential programs for persons with severe mental illnesses, and was awarded $600,000 in federal and state grants for permanent housing. Experience also includes outpatient and inpatient mental health and chemical dependency work with both adults and adolescents. Margie has a Masters Degree in Guidance & Counseling from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University (Kappa Alpha Theta). A Certified Employee Assistance Professional and Tested Substance Abuse Professional under the Department of Transportation (DOT) Rules, Margie lives in Barberton with husband Mike and 18 year-old son Michael. Margie is President of the Barberton Rotary, a member of the First Friday Club of Akron, St. Frances de Sales Catholic Church, and the South Summit Chamber of Commerce.
